Let's be honest. Sometimes your little critter needs a hand getting themselves as clean as they'd like to be. While we normally don't recommend washing your bunnies or guinea pigs, Kaytee squeaky clean shampoo is a perfect pH balanced option to help clean those tough to reach spots that your sick, old, or messy fur baby might have trouble reaching. 

How to Provide a bath for guinea pigs

1. Fill a container with no more than 1.5 inches of water
2. Slowly place your guinea pig in the container and allow some time for the piggie to get adjusted.
3. With a cup pour warm water gently over the guinea pig without getting it directly onto their face or ears and slowly apply the shampoo
4. Rinse the guinea pig two to three times to make sure all shampoo is gone.
5. Wrap them in a towel and use a blow dryer in cold setting until guinea pig is completely dry.

Something to be wary of

• Guinea pigs and rabbits have a very sensitive respiratory system so majority of the time we should avoid strong scents. One potentially negative aspect of this shampoo is that it comes with a slight baby powder fragrance which could irritate your pet. However, we've found that it's still quite good at odor removal.
